Richie works as a soloist, section player, arranger, and horn-section organiser. He reads written parts, arranges from scratch, plays solos, builds or joins a section, provides doubles and harmonies, and delivers stems in the format the project needs.
He is attentive to the composer's vision, straightforward to direct, and serious about getting the take right. His approach is to serve the track — not to push himself into it.
Send stems, a rough mix, or chord charts. Richie records from his professional home setup and returns files in your preferred format. Clean, quiet room — practical for producers and artists working across locations.
Richie comes to your studio and records live in the room. The better option for projects where the energy of a live take matters, where real-time direction gets the best out of the performance, or where section work benefits from everyone being in the same space.
The more context Richie has going in, the better the result — key, feel, references, arrangement notes all help. Charts, MIDI files, demos, and isolated stems are all useful. If you have parts written, send them. If you want improvisation or arrangement, a rough guide and a short conversation is usually enough to get started.
Standard turnaround is 3 to 5 working days from receiving material. Three revisions are included as a working assumption, with flexibility where the nature of the revision is reasonable. Tighter deadlines can sometimes be accommodated — discuss it when enquiring.
Dry stems, solo takes, doubles, harmony lines, section parts, and horn arrangements. Files delivered via Dropbox, Google Drive, or WeTransfer in whatever format your project requires.
