Session
Musician

Session saxophonist for studio recording, live shows, television, and artist projects. London-based, experienced, and easy to work with.

The instrument,
in service of the track.

Richie has been working as a session musician for over two decades — recording in studios, performing on television, touring, and playing alongside some of the most well-known names in music. He is based in London, available UK-wide, and works internationally.

His roots are in jazz, and that foundation runs through everything — the ear, the feel, the ability to listen as much as play. He records saxophone parts remotely and in-studio, performs as a live session player and dep, and has a body of screen credits that covers prime-time BBC television and Netflix.

Richie does not dominate a session. The aim is always to serve the track, support the artist, and deliver something that works — cleanly, on time, without ego.

Tenor & Soprano Saxophone

Tenor and soprano are his primary instruments for session work. He covers solos, section parts, horn arrangements, doubles, harmonies, and dep performance across a wide range of genres — jazz, R&B, soul, funk, gospel, pop, reggae, Latin, and beyond.

His background spans jazz, gospel, soul, and pirate radio. That range is what makes him useful across very different types of projects.

In live performance contexts, he also plays the Aerophone — a wind synthesiser capable of string-like and synth textures — where the production calls for something beyond a straight horn sound.
